Catching up on Instagram and Pinterest

"There's a fascinating thing wiggling on our floor."

My mom, aunt and I went to LA's fabric district to pick up some cheap lace, burlap, and ribbon...and some delicious Mexican food.
I've never bought fabric in my life but I think $2 for a yard of lace is pretty good.

Desert sunset on my longgg drive home from work.

I think my bridesmaids will be getting DIY spa gifts?

We are having a ruffle cake!
Minus the lemonade on top...

Yellow and orange flowers for our fall wedding.
Mine will be wrapped in lace/burlap though.

Never have I laughed so hard at a pin.
This is me.

Um, I want a mini me.

Till next time, I'll be pretending to be a functioning adult!

Friday the 13th

Lately I like to have Laynah/little brother days with the boys on their birthday.
Joshua's birthday is in June.
We had our day in the middle of July.
Oops.

After wishing our bad luck black cat a happy Friday the 13th, we headed off to have a his-choice kind of day. Naturally, he chose what any other 12 year old boy would choose: Olive Garden and Mulligans.

Do you like how he's as tall as me?
And how I'm thug enough to be all matchy and wear his hat in public?

Coolest picture ever: taken while driving the Go-Karts.

After a couple of hours to ourselves Matthew got out of school and came to play with us - strictly by Josh's request.

And it was a really good day!
Even if I feel like playing lazer tag 5 times in a row is kind of excessive aaaand even if we were soaking wet on the drive home because we had decided to ride the bumper boats last minute.

I like memories better than staying dry.

I'm a hat person now.

Summer Hats

Summer Hats by laynahrose

It's kind of uncomfortable to wear a hat when you arent used to, but I am making myself a hat person this summer due to my new fear of wrinkles and age spots. Yeah I'm only 20. It's a hypochondriac thing.

Hello, new boundaries of my comfort zone.

I havent done any awkward/awesomes lately

But don't let that fool you.
Those moments are still happening.
Serious emphasis on the awkward.

EXHIBIT:
A - I get food stuck in my teeth.
B - Forget to wear my bra to work.
C - Get swung at by strangers occasionaly.
D - Father in law admits he reads my blog.
E - Everyone thinks is okay to casually discuss my acne.
F - I've started playing matchmaker.
G - Realized my baby brainstorming is at an all time level of ridiculous when I found myself thinking of names while watching the Batman movie.
Generally speaking, Im just the most awkward person alive.

So anyways, Chloe and her sister and I decided to go to see Katy Perry. Not in 3D, because what's the point, its a documentary? So we saw it. The day AFTER the premiere. At elleven in the morning. In vague Katy-esque outfits.

Oh and to top it off, we arrived late.
How's that for awkward?

Blog award

I've been nominated for a blog award once or twice before this and it has baffled me everytime. That is especially true this time because my posts are so sporadic I'm surpised anybody even reads them, ha!
Thank you Megan.

"The Liebster Blog Award is given to upcoming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. The Meaning; Liebster is German and means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing and welcome."

Here are the rules:
1. Each person must post 11 things about themselves.
2. Answer the questions the tagger has set for you plus create 11 questions for the people you've tagged to answer.
3. Choose 11 people and link them in your post.
4. Go to their page and tell them.
5. Remember, no tag backs!
Elleven Facts
1. I like to be the center of attention.
2. I love rock climbing walls. When I was 12 I made a bet with some boy that if I could get to the top of a rock climbing wall barefoot, he would quit smoking. And I won. (After that I decided I liked climbing barefoot better anyways. This picture is when I was 17)

3. I got punched in the face last week at work.
4. I am definitely more comfortable around kids than adults.
5. I'm pretty stubborn. But my mom told me when I got engaged to make sure that I say sorry in EVERY single disagreement Matthew and I have, and it helps a lot! Even if I feel like I am completely in the right, trying to think of something that I said or did that I could apologize for makes me see the whole situation in a different light
6. My very first (extremely vague) memory is when I was about one. My mother doesnt believe me.
I totally remember taking this picture too! (When I was 4 or 5)
7. I sometimes believe in astrology. Sometimes it's scary accurate, okay??
8. I almost paid $300 that I don't have for a facial this week because I'm so worried about looking perfect for my wedding in October. Blame it on the media -.-
9. Lately I have been having my prayers answered so SO literally. Have you ever asked for something very specific and then had it given to you the instant you say amen? Three times in a week?
10. I am not a bridezilla.

Accidently craving a baby.

Which is indeed a problem!
Seeing as how I'm not even married yet, and I reaaaalllyyy would like to enjoy being married alone for as long as possible before babycakes comes along. Oops.

If it wasn't for all of these darn cute baby bump pictures floating around blogland! Haha. I totally have a plan though. If Matthew and I don't kill our first plant, we have decided to get a hairless cat and name it Pooter for our first pet. Which I will adorn with sweaters and buy a heat pad so it doesnt freeze to death.

Yeah.
We really are naming it Pooter, btw.
Did you know that cats excrete oils which are usually soaked up by their hair and I'll have to wipe Pooter down with a soapy wet washcloth every day so she doesnt ruin the furniture she lays on?
Totally worth it, if you ask me.

But anyways, finding super cute baby prints on Etsy probably doesnt help my baby fever. Don't tell me that this super sweet print from >>> here <<< doesn't remind you of that scene from Dumbo that always makes me tear up.

Oh, and one random thing.
I recently found out that mormons are allowed to drink herbal tea!
Which is great, because I also recently found out that I really enjoy herbal tea.

I'm so bad at drinking water.
And herbal tea is pretty much just warm water with seasonings. It is the second MOST hydrating beverage behind water, and regular tea (along with coffee) is the second LEAST hydrating beverage behind alcohol. Regular tea (that contains tea leaves) and coffee contain some kind of toxin (called purins I think?) that your body must dilute greatly to be able to excrete, wasting a large quantity of water in the process.

Check how healthy the ingredients list is for this recipe of grapefruit herbal tea.

Anyways, who wants to hear about my life now?
I recently went to Utah for my fiance's family reunion.
Which is weird, because they're about to be MY family.
It's official, because I even took my first family photos with them:

It's great, because they all still think I'm this wonderful, beautiful new person coming into their lives. Ha. Just wait until they find out how much trouble I can be! We had a great time there though. My favorite part was riding around the pretty mountain in an ATV with my love.

He even stopped in all the right places to let me take pictures. Gorgeous.

Wedding plans are going great, this girl is getting more and more excited over here!
Goodbye for now :)

You can't NOT love these pictures.

Okay.
Well maybe YOU can.
But I can't, haha.
Just like I can't not love that boy. What a wonderful feeling it is, to find your one true love.

Gorgeous photography by Matt and Kristen !

Better than Scrapbooking. Oh and have you seen Katy's movie?

I am the lamest blogger.
I'm kinda bad at writing in my journal too.
All signs point AWAY from scrap-booking for me.
But I don't know what it is about life that makes me want to document it and wrap it all up in pictures and captions and not forget one single detail. For me, blogging helps a lot and I love being able to go back and relive my memories. Even if I don't write EVERY detail down, I remember them all as I reread a post.

But I'm getting married in the fall.
One day I'm gonna have a baby and a family and I'm gonna need to dedicate my life to making picture albums and baby books (I'll have to, with the amount of pictures I take). That is...until I found this awesome website that helps you make a yearbook style family album! It's probably more expensive but the fact that it doesn't make a mess and it's so easy to use makes it worth it to me.

As you can see, it goes from last summer till next winter.
So I have that whole time to update and do a page or so at a time so it isn't overwhelming!
Yay for being lazy!

And also, yay for Katy Perry's movie.
I'm going on a girl date tomorow and we're gonna go see it!

Would you judge me if I told you I was going to wear something like this?
